MTI Investment was one of the sponsors of the very first Zanzibar Tourism Investment and Travel Exhibition 2023 (ZTITE), held in the beautifully renovated Zanzibar Peace Museum in Stonetown. The event was themed ‘Greener Zanzibar’ and was held in partnership with Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority and the Department of Museum & Antiquity of the Ministry of Tourism & Heritage. The purpose was to bring tourism professionals & stakeholders, tourism investors, conservationists and like-minded stakeholders from both public and private sectors to discuss sustainable tourism practices, current movements and share knowledge. MTI is a major shareholder in Zanrec Plastics Company, with a mission to implement sustainable waste management practices. Zanrec removes a lot of PET and other plastics from the island, and implements sustainable practices to do organic manure out of food waste. Guess of honor was H.E Dr Hussein A. Mwinyi, The President of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar
